A Wineheke Hens

We believe Wineheke is the perfect venue for any occasion, but there is no doubting that the island does serve as the most sublime backdrop for those romantic and once-in-a-lifetime events such as a proposal, a hens party or a wedding.

We were delighted to host the gorgeous Tamsin Savage, along with her bridal party and hens’ at Batch winery in November, a week before Tamsin was also due to be married on the island at the Goldie Room.

Tamsin’s brief to Wineheke was simple – she wanted to celebrate her last week as a single young woman at a Wineheke vineyard where she could enjoy a long lunch in a beautiful setting without any of the stereotypical, cheesy hens party distractions. We absolutely knew that The Hedge private dining space at Batch would serve as the perfect venue for Tamsin and it didn’t disappoint.

The photos, courtesy of Tamsin’s maid-of-honour Laura-Kate Randell, tell the story perfectly. A beautiful sunny day was exactly what we ordered and the ladies got to enjoy an exquisite high-tea style lunch complete with multiple bottles of Rosé Fizz in the sunshine with the jaw-droppingly beautiful Onetangi beach pictured in the background to the East, and the dramatic skyline of Auckland City to the West.
